PART II of THE TOP TIPS FOR STRESS-FREE BUSINESS TRAVEL:
1. Allow sufficient time for security. Worrying you are going to miss your flight isnโt a good use of energy.
2. Have a little local currency in case thereโs a problem with your card.
3. It is better to pack a spare outfit than to risk a rushed, pre-meeting trip to the shops.
4. Hand luggage is great. But not too much. Airports are big places.
5. Pre-book your meal if you are unlikely to enjoy the plane food or eat before you fly.
6. The longer the flight, the more dehydrated you will get. Drink water (more) and alcohol (less) accordingly. I have over-indulged on the latter and 100 heartbeats per minute whilst sleeping is never fun!
7. Download a few good podcasts. Itโs easier to listen hands-free in a long queue.
8. On short-haul flights, get an aisle seat. You can get off the plane faster.
9. Don't wear belts or jewellery which are hard to remove. We all know the rules of security. Why make it hard for yourself and the people behind you?
10. Have an easy access scan of all your necessary travel docs - passport, visas, etc. Make sure it's on the cloud somewhere and also have a printout. Devices do get lost or get left in taxis!
11. Your skin will dry out on long-haul flights - I use 35 Thousand. The products are amazing.
Happy stress-free travelling!
